Front of the House Manager


Hello! Yankee Lobster is a small family owned and operated Seafood restaurant & Fish Market in South Boston. We offer a casual dining experience in a fun environment with an established customer base including many great locals, working professionals, tourists, and students. We also offer a small fish market that supplies live lobsters and fresh fish.

We currently have a small, hardworking staff, but we need someone that can help lead that staff and assist them in delivering great customer service. Our ideal candidate would have previous management experience and should be passionate about delivering a memorable guest experience. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: overseeing day to day front of the house operations, training, creating and maintaining a healthy work environment, maintaining and organizing inventory, ensuring our staff is being held to our high standards and completing the Manager on Duty and Nightly reports. This position reports directly to the Assistant General Manager and General Manager.

We offer a flexible schedule depending on business volume and your needs, but working on nights, weekends and holidays should be expected. Knowledge in POS systems is a plus, but not a necessity, as you will be trained in our system. Though we are somewhat laid back, a professional appearance and attitude is a must. We are looking for someone with a great personality, who can work under pressure and possesses the ability to multi-task. You must be clean, presentable, punctual, dependable and have common sense.Please have a good positive energy and be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty when necessary.

A background in the retail or bar/restaurant industry is preferable and candidates with a minimum of 2 years of management experience will be given priority. There is room to grow here and we love to promote within when we can.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
